Pneumatic grease gun

At the dealer we had an air fired grease gun and a drum of grease. It's great if you are greasing heavy equipment everyday but now that I'm retired, I hand pump.

I have 2 different brands of pneumatic grease guns, and neither of them were worth a darn. I haven’t even touched them since getting the 12v Milwaukee.

If you don’t grease much, it might be best to stick with a good manual gun, but I wouldn’t give up my Cordless for anything.

I also have an air powered Lincoln grease gun. Sits right next to my old manual Lincoln grease gun. The air powered gun sit covered with dust, and for the same reasons mentioned above - it's more trouble than it's worth. I can have my manual gun out and be done with the task before I can unroll the air hose, fight it moving around my equipment, etc.. The pneumatic grease gun sounds a lot better than they really are.

I have the Lincoln 1162 as well and I actually use it. If I'm only doing a couple fittings then I grab the manual but when I'm doing the 2 dozen or more on my loader backhoe I go with the air powered one. With the manual I'd be putting in 5 or more pumps per fitting so the air operated is a great benefit. I also have my air hose on a reel which makes it easy to use.

There is something in the neighborhood of 35 greasepoints on the loader and backhoe combined

I'm likely going to get a battery powered one that uses the same batteries as most of my power tools now (20V DeWalt).. I can watch for "tool only" sale and just get the tool as I already have batteries and chargers. I used a air powered one at Sears automotive, but that was years ago and they had drums of grease and big compressors.

Read reviews before you buy, I did and some are terrible

I have Lincoln 1162 Air Operated Grease Gun https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0019COQ6C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_GCkPCbS9QYM6Q

I also own the locknlube although I misplaced it and havent used it yet. Highly rated LockNLube Grease Coupler locks onto Zerk fittings. Grease goes in, not on the machine. World's best-selling original locking grease coupler. Rated 10,000 PSI. Long-lasting rebuildable tool. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H7LPKKU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_LDkPCb767Q1EK

I have the same Lincoln 1162 air operated grease gun.
I use the Lock-N-Lube with it.
Works perfectly!
I am retired, and don't need to spend for a battery powered gun.
Bought the HF piece of SH!! first though.
That went to the dump after one day.

The reason I bought one is for an old JD cover crop disc that takes about two tubes of grease every spring. I plumbed an outdoor air hose reel to my shop, so getting air to anything on the apron is pretty quick and simple.
