Thank you my friend and as always Kathy and I thank you for your business

You are more than welcome Paul and Kathy, your mods have allowed me to have many more hours in the seat than I could otherwise.

My L4060 had an issue the evening after delivery with the loader not working. Turned out to be an adjustment issue with the 3pt feedback rod as well. Dealer promptly sorted it out. I never even had a chance to put 2 & 2 together that raising the 3pt all the way up started it.

One of my 3rd function hoses just started leaking pretty good basically at the right side step. I knew it was really exposed down there & had actually pestered Paul & Kathy about putting a guard on their to design list a while back. Need to get around to finally ordering the guard from them here soon. It actually looks like it's a bad crimp on that hose rather than obvious impact damage. Gonna let the dealer mess with it under warranty.

I need to take the machine in this week anyway & hopefully fix the last remaining sucky rear remote.

It sounds like you have a good capable dealership. Nice to hear they straighten out the issueyour tractor had. We get dozens of people per week reporting issues they have with their Kubota tractors. Thank you for letting us know about the 3rd functuion system and how it is vulnerable as designed.

Although we read everything that we receive we do not necessarily act on it until the same issue reaches a certain threshold. Once it does then we look into it and in the case of the 3rd function valve it was more than justified and we designed and built a guard that will protect that area. It is built out of 1/4 plate and it is heavy duty.

I am totally surprised about the amount of emails we get from people reporting things they think needs addressing. I would think their Kubota dealer would be the first people they would contact with any issue. I am pretty sure that Kubota is watching us closely. I know Kubota Canada reps have been here visiting us and what we do would not even be possable with the endless amount of help from Newfoundland Kubota Limited but I beleave the Kubota owner needs to have someone that will be there to listen to complaints and act on them. We are trying our best best and I know we have made a lot of Kubota owners happy with their new mods Thanks for your imput.

Wow....this is an interesting thread.....but I'll get back to the original question.

Things I don't like about it are
1. No toolbox and no option to add one. I plan to get a canvas tool bag to put behind the seat
2. If you add the factory 3rd function option, the hoses hang very low to the ground.

We designed a tool box and a 3rd function valve line guard and have been good sellers. Our customers tell us they love them.

This appears to be turning into an advertising thread, lol.

So far with my little amount of research I have found quite a few complaints about the Kubota factory remote valves and there have been enough of those to confirm it is not an isolated issue. Something to watch for if I end up getting one. The loader / 3PTH issue has been noted a few times but that is nothing for me to be concerned about. As others have mentioned and from my own experience with my previous tractor it is a simple rod adjustment.

So far I haven't found anything that would suggest there is an inherent serious issue with the L6060's.

Now I have to decide whether or not I am willing to accept letting the local dealer screw me over for the $2,500 he had to put into the tractor I just bought from him, by adding that to the price of the new one, going elsewhere or just sticking with what I have.

I looked at a newer Massey 1749 with o hrs and therefore full warranty but I really didn't like the new DL135 loader. It is a much lighter duty loader compared to the DL130 on my current tractor. I would be afraid to put my 96" HLA front mount snow plow on that loader, for fear of twisting the loader when pushing snow along one end of the plow.

I have an 8' SSQA snow dawg plow on my L4060. I've had it for 3 years, although no snow the first year & lite snow last year. LOTS of snow this year though. I do want to rebuild the mount from a solid mount to something with a bit of float between the SSQA & plow frame. Minimal maving out here so I need light float to avoid plowing gravel.

Dug out most of a F350 with over a 1' lift during the bomb cyclone last month. Lots of other hard plowing. Lots of back dragging a foot of a bank at a time (possibly more appropriate for a bucket than a plow). No issue with wrecking the loader at all. Crossover relief & trip edge on the plow kick in a bit, but no issues.

I finally put chains on the front during the bomb cyclone, but hadn't bothered before. Havent bought rear chains yet, but the rear R4s are loaded & I had a heavy Gannon box blade on the back.

I wouldnt wory about a SSQA plow unless you are in really rough terrain or are really hard on equipment.20190314_123839.jpg20190314_133919.jpg20190314_133856.jpg20170109_181006.jpg

Do you use your plow for mostly pushing snow or for side casting. It's the side casting I'm concerned about, as I have a lot. My driveway is a mile long and I run up and down with the blade angled all the way, to cast the snow off the sides and that is hard on the loader.

I made a float for my plow and it made a huge difference for me but my driveway is rough gravel with lots of ups and downs.
