As my dad got older he slept a lot and I once asked him why. He said when he dreams he is young and when he wakes up he is old and he would rather be young. Made sense.
Wife and I have been together 47 years now. She was very close to her Dad...a great guy and he liked me a lot. Wife's parents passed about 10 years ago.
A few years ago her Dad appeared to me in a dream, saying "when you wake up, tell this story to her (my wife), it happened years before you met, when she was a kid.
She helped me fix our Zenith TV, it had no sound, speaker was bad, so...(dream continued, her Dad giving exact details of where they got a replacement speaker, the type, etc.).
When I awoke I told wife the story...it was exact to the last detail...she cried... I held her. How could I have possibly have known? In the dream...he was smiling.
I read somewhere that dreams only last a few seconds. I've watched my dog dream. His for sure only last a few seconds. But a minute later he may dream again.
I'm sure many will take offense to this post but it needs to be said. Current medications are keeping folks alive well beyond their expiration date. What is your game plan? Hopefully it is not to expect your children to change your diapers and bath you. Adult heath care is ridiculously expensive and in-spite of your believe you are better than everyone you will likely be enrolled in Medicaid when your meager savings are exhausted. My MIL went through $500K in 8-years. So lets hear it, a heavy rock and a deep lake or you just planning on being a burden on those you claim to love? What irritates me most is believers in divine salvation are the most scared of dying. No one gets out alive, so lets hear it.
