Re: Big Barn痴 Retirement Farm Shop

This thread with all the posters has taught me something very important; I live a very boring life.

I am learning one can become bored from just having a lot of plates to keep spinning to prevent boredom. :)

Well this makes me fell better about that stack of flattened, large cardboard boxes I have sitting in the garage..........

Disposable creeper storage. The green bin.

I agree, Mark. Those would go in the blue bin.

Harbor Freight states our new 2 ton folding shop hoist will be here tomorrow and I am so excited to have a place to keep it to save the back. I will keep my eye open for a more heavy duty used one some day but wanted something that only weights 135 pounds that I can put on the front 4' fixed deck of the equipment trailer or use in the shop like when painting the mill and setting the head back on afterwards.

Cardboard boxes make great paint booths also.

Tower of creepers!

I suppose it is time for a another run to the recycle station. Half of that stack came from my impulse buy at Costco for another Traeger smoker. Some assembly required and I was amazed at the amount of CAD material that I salvaged. Might not toss those honeycomb panels though.

I saved the largest two sides of the box for repurposing. Amazing what you can do with large cardboard panels and duct tape... Red Green style! Play forts for my three little granddaughters for one.

I've had a 1.5 ton folding harbor freight engine hoist for 20 years, it's been used for reasonable things like pulling engines to silly things like pulling T posts... and loading odd objects onto trailers...
