Your Advices for New Rotary Cutter Design

Hi everyone,

I am a design specialist. Right now i am working on rotary cutter design for SD, MD and HD models for a huge company. Models will be available in the market next year. Clearly i can not share the company. The company and i want to satisfy our customers. Long story short, i would like to know what are your problems and needs ? Do you have any expectations which you don't find in the market. I know it's a simple machine but the market is very contentious. I want to do the best and affordable. Thank you in advance for your participation.

Models will be single spindle. (48", 60", 72" and 84")

Most people want heavy duty and cheap. Obviously you can’t have both.

You have people who want the best and can afford it then you have people like me who want the best and have to buy used and fix whatever is wrong with it.

Actually i am planning that our medium duty cutters will be heavy duty cutter in the market, And our standard duty will be medium duty in the market. We have the opportunity to do cheap and HD. I believe, price/performance ratio will be good. If you have any recommendation, please do not hesitate to say.

I cut at a very low deck position and the my skid shoes on both sides tend to scrape in turns. I would like some sort of anti-scrape wheels to retrofit on both sides of my old Agri-cutter AC-205. Something like an omni-wheel on both sides.

I second this - I have often wished for guide wheels on the front of my bush hog.

It does matter to me on equipment, if it's made in China quality isn't near as good as stuff made in America or Sweden just for a couple of examples. What good would a cutter be if the frame is heavy duty but the gearbox is made out of a poor casting? The gearbox takes a beating as much as the tail wheel does.
