I do not understand the p*ssing match
there was a post I believe in the safety forum explaining how the operator died even though he had a 2 point ROPS. the tractor slid down the hill, and folded the ROPS over.. either forward or backward, I don't remember..Riiiiight. That is why OSHA requires them for all employee operated tractors (except in special circumstances).
Please show some facts to back up your claims.

That rare occurrence and rolling into the water and having your seatbelt get stuck would fall under the 2% of the time when having a ROPS will hurt, not help. I have a suggestion. Look online and find a local off-road / jeep club, and call or post on their board. These guys LIVE for recoveries like this. If you were near, our club would be all over it. Good luck.
