No forklift but always on the lookout for one, until then I might build a swinging i-beam crain.

This 16' crank up is what I use:

I have been on the lookout for a fume extractor. Those aren't cheap! At least for name brand ones.
No they aren't! However this one was, which is the only reason I have it.

I've been looking for one of those but they always seem to go for more then I want to pay. When I worked with a guy installing auto lifts we use to use some of the old style with the removable mast and hand winch on the back. I was always amazed at how much those things could lift.

I have extra I beams laying around so will probably still make a crane, unless I find a forklift first.

It's been a while since I've worked on the shop, mostly been trying to get the siding on the house done. I'm not as far along with that as I'd like to be but I did have to replace all the facia board which was quite a job, also had new gutters installed on the house and shop which is something I've been wanting to for a long time.

Since it's too cold and rainy to work on siding right now I decided to take a break and make the storage area for one of the larger 20hp screw compressor that I picked up over the summer.870329441.jpeg
Unfortunately the compressor I'm keeping is the larger of the 2 and too tall to fit on the current mezzanine by a couple inches, I thought about separating the compressor from the tank but it would have taken up even more space so decided to give the compressor it's own home.

Made a 4x8 section just for it to sit on, the smaller reciprocating compressor I have will be a backup and be mounted on the mezzanine next to it and be plumbed together giving me 200gal of storage capacity.20191217_172400.jpeg

I hope to have it mounted and wired before Christmas, unless the weather warms back up so I can work on the house siding some more.
Luckily for me I also managed to pick up a forklift over the summer, which makes moving stuff so much easier!20190718_195129.jpeg

The forklift will make life SO much easier. I hope you have 44-48 inch forks also? If not you will need to pick up a pair.

The compressor is going to look good in the dedicated spot.

House is looking good

Sure do, have a couple sets of 46in forks laying around here, I keep thinking I'll change them out but the 6ft ones are just too handy, and they weigh a LOT!

The forklift already made getting my finger brake inside much more enjoyable, the skid steer was struggling a bit with it the brake is now on wheels.
It also put the other compressor for my buddies shop up on the mezzanine to store it. 20190803_185630.jpeg
