Never, I don't have a need for anything near that big.
Even if I wanted to, I doubt that my electrical service could spin the motor over, let alone the motor and compressor.

Picked up the compressors today, awkward load due to how top heavy they are. Luckily they were just PM'd and the belt drive had the belts replaced right before being taken out of service.
They have high hrs but believe they were run in continuous mode so probably not a lot of loaded hrs. Build dates are 10/09 and 9/10 so not too old.
Think I got a good deal on the pair with refrigerated dryers. Oh and I also bought a nice office chair for the shop for $10 while I was picking them upView attachment 608656View attachment 608657
Shoot, that things not even broken in!
Wish mine came with that pile of filters though.

Nice, the one at work was at ~64000 running hours when I replaced the control board (worked to run the compressor, but did not want communicate with anything else). IIRC, less than 40 of those hours were spent unloaded.Shoot, that things not even broken in!

These were used in a print shop to blow off the rollers, they were disconnected when I picked them up but the controls were set to continuous so I'm guessing they spent a lot of time unloaded.
Nice thing is these are both the simpler setup without timers, instead of all the electronics to worry about.
Oh yeah, nice clean shop with epoxied floors and drywall, worst they saw was some paper dust. I think even with the hrs they should last my lifetime with my uses.I’m assuming those two units were kept inside? They look like new. Mine spent its life outside (under a roof though) and was subjected to a coat or two of paint the same color as its “surroundings”.

Do you think your hr meter turned over or was it just not used much?
