Got our hay in, over the past few days. About 500 bales went in the barn.

Dad's ol Massy 135 chugged right along, only a handful of mis-ties from the MF12 baler. Nice to work on mostly flat ground for a change!

That 135 is a good old tractor.

Footnote: I was going to remove the pics as I saw no need to keep repeating them; but it was already done for me. Perhaps it's one of the upgrades when the site was down yesterday?

We went out to the farm last night and fixed the barn door, but storms moved in before I could get the pathway to the field fixed. So, I went out this morning and it took 12 buckets of dirt to start to get it fixed.

I went out to the spot where we have been getting the dirt and found that the storm had knocked over a tree, something else to add to the list.

At this point, I have the entrance good enough where they should be able to get the planter in. We hoping that they get the beans in this week otherwise it will be getting close to being to late to plant them.

TractorData.com Farmtrac 795DTC tractor information

that's a very nice looking tractor. Deutz Fahr is highly regarded. Same weight as my 4707 Massey which came with optional larger 34's on rear,
which it looks like yours does also, originally spec'd with 30s on the rear. Those large radials have serious grip, imagine you will be the puller and not the pullee
in mud situations.

Thanks! It works like a charm and if I didnt do my research on this tractor I may have passed but I have a SAME already so I am familiar with them and I've heard alot of good about Deutz-Fahr so I didnt hesitate a whole lot. I have some clay area where my manure piles are and the bigger tires will be a HUGE help. I cant want to get a grapple for it so I can start cleaning the rest of my piles as well.

Today I finally got a chance to use it to mow hay and it did great! Did about 6 hours of cutting in some heavy stuff. Had to go slower than normal in most spots. I'll post some photos later.

Sorry, didnt take too many photos. Using older equipment I need to pay attention and listen. Fortunately, I have a backup haybine since my nh 479 blew a bushing on the cutter bar when like 10 passes left. Just unhooked and hooked up to my Nh 469 and 25 mins later I was all done :)

Spent Friday evening with my cutter since my wife left for the weekend. There's been so much rain this year the grass and weeds are going nuts. A lot of the grass was over 5 feet tall, some as much as 7. Thistles between 3 and 4. Got probably an acre done with a 4 footer. Neighbors are happy the trail is cleaned up, too. The grass would have you soaked to the waist before. First time I've ever mowed a lot of this. It was a small corn field 20 years ago. The hood was yellow when I got finished from all the pollen. Really rough ground from the darn pocket gophers.
Really needed my diesel therapy. 20190628_194432.jpeg20190628_194438.jpeg20190628_210803.jpeg20190628_210822.jpeg20190628_210827.jpeg20190628_210837.jpeg20190628_210855.jpeg

A lot of work for a 4'er . . . nice!

This was Saturdays seat time but spent about 5 hours cutting the hay. Last year I kept breaking a shear bolt on the haybine, I was concerned enough to buy 4 extra bolts for this year. That must have worked, I never broke the shear bolt at all. Very happy about that.
