Oil Equivalents

I have searched for Oil/Lubricant and filter alternatives for my Max28 and have come up with almost nothing.

Is there a posting that is dealing with all of the Oils and Filters needed on a Mahindra Tractor ?

I am at the point where I need to do my next Service, well actually next two - 200 and 250 hour check up, but I have been in the dirt and dust, and debris and wan too do a complete fluid/filter change, and I do not want to go to a Mahindra Dealer, just don't want to spend the extra money.

Anyone know of a list, a posting, a Site that has the info... please let me know !

Any of the name brand THFs will work for hydraulic oil. As for filters, check with your local auto parts stores for cross references. Be careful of the HST filters. They are a high pressure filter. My dealer was fine with all aftermarket filters but warned against an aftermarket HST filter. A lot of filters will fit and look the same but aren’t designed for the HST.

I typically order all the filters for my Max 26xl as a set from billstractor.net. They are the Mahindra filters but much cheaper there and as a kit vs individually from any dealer. I also use Schell RotellaHD tractor hydraulic fluid and Schell Rotella diesel engine oil. Both seem to be working very well in my Max. I'm still within the factory warranty so I'm sticking with their filters so far.

Where did you buy the Shell Rotella Products, Parts Store, Ag Store or On-Line ?

Are all your filters Wix and how does the cost compare to the Filter Package ?

Thanks to all that posted to this thread, I am confused in the correct choices, I went to O'Riely's to get the Shell Oil and got blind sided by the Clerk when they asked me which type of oil I wanted.

Scrambler82, I get my Kioti (Daedong) filters from Greene's. They also sell Mahindra filters (Mahindra filters link). They use Baldwin as their non-OEM filter brand.

My Kioti CK27 HST filter package is $102.95 for all OEM except air filter (Baldwin), but of course that means little for your Mahindra needs.
