You guys still aren稚 understanding the scenario. Pretty much everyone understands that a cylinder is weaker in retraction vs extension. BUT the cylinder is extending for both test. The only difference is it痴 standing barrel up vs barrel down.

Another one:

It is safer to pull hard with a chain than a strap or cable, because if it breaks, it will fall harmlessly to the ground instead of snapping back.

Sure it will. I spent 30 minutes in a wheat feild looking for the end of the chain with hook once.

Is a 20 foot chain any less dangerous than a 20 foot cable? Of course a 200 cable is deadly.

And then there were th 'stretchy' straps that allowed one to get a running start. They must have been oulawed as I haven't found one in over 20 years.
