there are a lot of US made implements. They're generally better quality than Chinese imports. Often the price is not that much more. Especially for things like box blades and rotary cutters. The economics for making implements is different enough from machinery that it's still possible to do it. (see Everything Attachments for one example).

I will add that not only does Everything Attachments build 100% of their products in the USA but they also use made in USA components including the raw steel.

SawHaul also builds 100% of their products in the USA. Check them out too at SawHaul.com and you can use promo code: SAVEMYSAW to save 5% on thier products.

My Dad bought many thousand of tons of German steel, processed it and sold it to US automotive companies. The US protested saying it wasn't Canadian Steel but German Steel and subject to tarriffs. So they changed it to Billots or some such thing when it got here, and hence it wan't considered German steel anymore. Things are not always what they seem!

I am just guessing, that at some point, the players were mostly from a particular city. Or at least from that area. I had a friend here close by, that played on the Maple Leafs a very long time ago, yet he grew up and lived in a small town a hundred miles away from Toronto. But he didn't go play for Detroit. I think, that would be unheard of. I could be very wrong.

To me, it would be like a school team having players from another school. If you don't have the talent, well than you just don't, and maybe you should do something else or improve.

You don't get to pick what team you play for in professional baseball. You get drafted. Doesn't matter where you came from originally. Been that way since the 20's.

How about to get back on point, we hear what the intended use is? Farming fields, utility work, mowing grass, plowing snow, logging etc???

Looks like the OP bailed six pages ago. Can't say that I blame him.

By now, there certainly should be some ap that can best tell someone what they need, have six acres, tall pines, a little creek, five hundred foot driveway, blah, blah, blah. You certainly won`t get a dfinitive answer on a tractor forum.

I don't think that people come here looking for a definitive answer. I expect they are looking to compare opinions & maybe come away knowing more than when they started. TBN does that pretty well even if there is a bit of noise in the process.

It just gets old, even though I`m sure for those posting it may be quite new. How much money do you have or how much do you earn. Do you like equipment or is it simply a means to an end. Do you control the purse strings or does someone else. Funny, such very important things are rarely mentioned in these discusions.

It can get old if viewed a certain way. The way I combat that is by reminding myself that it isn't old information for each first-timer. It's brand new and valuable for them.
I think back to the person who taught me how to read. They already knew, but for me it opened a whole new world.

Oh, sure, use reason and logic to give us new prospective on our curmudgeonly ways! :)
