I can't understand why anyone would want a pit bull. There are lots of other choices out there. And I know that some insurance companies won't cover them on your homeowners policy. I live in a semi-urban Baltimore suburb and there is some one who lets their pit bull run free. It totally terrorizes the parents of small children. A woman in the next county was killed by one while gardening. And a friend's daughter has a pb cross that I've seen lose control. People say its all in how you raise them. The New Yorker did an article on this, making a comparison to terrorists. But again, why bother with them at all -- there's a lot of other options.

The problem is dog fighter and drug dealers are breeding for aggression in pits pit bulls use to be considered baby sitter dogs in the south gentle with kids yet protective . Aggressive dogs were culled dog fighters were the first to breed for agression and the drug dealers bred for it too

What people don't understand that if a dog is trained for dog fighting, it will NOT bite a human. What people also don't understand that dogs are a pack animal, and that chaining or not socializing them doesn't help their behavior when it comes to aggressiveness.

I won't disagree with you, just ended up with a couple (terrier breed who people calls "pits") doing work with the local humane socitey (the reality is most people have no clue what an American Pit Bull actually looks like).

One of the best dogs I've ever owned. Opened my eyes to some ignorant stereotypes per dog breeds.

You YOURSELF said whoever is in Toronto apparently is using their brain. So, if they have a brain in outlawing dogs, don't they use the same brain in outlawing guns? Or, are they only "smart" in outlawing dogs and not guns? You tell me since you're the one who feels those in Toronto "use" their brain in outlawing pit bulls.

No different than the people in Philly who want to outlaw guns because a drug dealer who broke the law in owning a gun in the first place IMO.
