I don’t have the second pto mark on my rev counter and without knowing what rpm to set the engine at I can’t use the second pto setting

If your standard 540 is 2500 engine rpm, your economy will yield 540 at around 1750 engine rpm.
Most implements are not that critical as to the rpm they are operated at, a generator would be the most critical.
A mower or chipper if its working good and running smooth is doing good it doesn't matter much if it turning 450 rpm or even 500rpm.
When I'm using my sickle bar mower half the time is being run at maybe 300 rpm or less.,
my brush hog quite often will be at less then 540 and at times it will be above 540.
I was tedding hay today for several hours and the pto was in standard speed but the tractor was only turning 1500 rpm,
the tedder was doing an excellent job of fluffing up the hay at that speed which was about 324 pto rpm.
