Right. The last time I saw someone turn around in my driveway, a car came down the hill and almost rear ended the person.

Not a good place for people to turn around anyways being that you are on a curve.

Put a "Turn Around Here" sign on the brick post at the end of your neighbor's driveway.

People are unbelievable, we live at the end of a dead end county road. It is pretty obvious where the road ends as it is hard surface and 40 feet wide. Our drive is gravel and about 12 feet wide with yard on both sides. People would drive down our drive and turn around in our turnaround in front of the out building. Probably averaged 2 a week, sometimes more. We put up a board entry with a 16' gate and a private drive sign. Problem solved, until we left the gate open so company that we knew was coming could get in. It was only open for about 1 hour and sure enough someone drove down and turned around, through the open gate, past the private drive no trespassing sign. At least no one has came though when the gate is shut. Just no respect for others property I guess.

For what it is worth, I researched gate openers quite a bit and several people were talking about having problems with the Mighty Mule. We ended up getting a U.S. Automatic and so far so good.

Had the same problem years ago. We live back in the woods and people would get lost or come casing the place or something. They would turn around in my front yard at midnight. Put up gates with an opener.

How about a couple of orange cones for starters? Yeah you would have to get out and move them when you leave or enter but it's a cheap start.

Get small cones and anchor them in the center on a spring so you can just drive over them and when they flop over they will spring back up after you've driven over them! Anyone looking to turn around will just see the cones and probably keep on going.....OR they'll just run them over anyway because a lot of people are just plain inconsiderate.

I have looked for a cheap/fast/easy fix for years. There ain't one. If you find one, let me know.

My driveway is Y shaped. It's about 200 ft wide at the road and 300 ft from the road to the house.

Just this weekend, I was standing beside my tractor, in the house side of the Y driveway. A young man in a pickup pulling a 20 ft trailer drove right past me and never stopped, never said a word, just gave me a big smile and drove back onto the road going the opposite direction.

If they would stop, I'd offer them a cup of coffee.

But the A holes would rather be an irritant than a friend.

Does anyone think the chain idea with the Might Mule would work? In theory, it seems like it would work well. It will lift 300lbs. The chain wouldn't weight nearly that much.
