How to stop cars from turning around in my driveway

A propane truck ran its front onto the yard and left 4" deep ruts. I used a pitch fork and popped the ruts up like a golf ball divot. It worked...years later you can't tell where it was.

I really don't mind people turning around in my paved driveway, the only annoying part of it is every time they do my Shepherd barks until they leave and sometimes they sit there texting for minutes..

It would be so easy to either put a sawhorse across driveway or a rope, hang a "no parking" sign on it. Hand lettered is fine on cardboard.

My experience is people who don't respect private property don't respect signs either.

Wasn't in my driveway, pulled into my front yard, not my driveway.

You should have been arrested. And if there had been a wreck, you could have been sued and lost everything you owned including the property the guy parked on. Somebody parking in your yard is no excuse to be so completely irresponsible.

Well I wasn't. What do you think, that I put the vehicle in the middle of interstate with people doing 70 MPH? Are you really that stupid? I pulled it into the road where you made a right turn, so when cars came up, there was a vehicle sitting there and not turning. The speed limit is 25 MPH.

This is the problem with society today, it is perfectly fine by your standards for someone to pull onto someone elses property, damage the property with ruts and the law will do nothing. Yes, you can take them to civil court and yes, I could of called a tow truck, it would of cost me $150 and then I would of had to taken the guy to court to get the money. Why isn't the law setup to protect the property owner? It has become a shame when those breaking the law has more rights than the home owner.

At least all they are doing is turning around. I had a guy park in my yard once. He wasn't visiting me, he was heading over to the park close to our house that a concert was going on at and couldn't find a parking spot, so he pulled into our yard. I called the police and they came, but wouldn't do anything since the vehicle was on private property, it was my problem. I thanked the officers for coming over and they left.

I went to my garage, got out the SUV, hooked up a tow strap and pulled the vehicle out into the middle of the road. Unhooked the tow strap and parked my SUV back in the garage. I then went and sit on my front porch, watching as traffic trying to figure out what to do. Police showed up, looked over at me, I yelled, I think it is your problem now since it is on public property. I turned around and went inside. They had a tow truck come and get it.

About two hours later I heard commotion in my front yard when the owner showed up looking for his truck. He called the police to report his truck stolen, they showed up and arrested him because he had an outstanding warrant.

The most fun I have had by not going to a concert.

Perfect... You have to give the LEO's no choice or they will eat donuts instead...

Best thing he should have done, just call a tow company to take it

who pays the $150 towing fee every time this happens?..
