If the gun lobby, NRA, etc. don't get their heads out of the sand and work with the government to come up with a fair solution to all the gun violence we've been experiencing, it will be imposed from the top down, and won't be pretty.

The gun lobby, NRA, etc have been trying to do just that for years by pointing to mental health issues. A big mistake the NRA made was blocking CDC data collection funding.

You wont find me in TSC again, but I have probably only shopped there 2 times in my life.

Public view is not changing. What you are seeing is the media痴 attempt to make you think it is changing. We had the Brady bill from 1994 to 2004 (so called assault weapons ban) that did absolutely nothing to curtail crime. Cooler heads prevailed and it was not renewed. We have something similar now, but as logical gun owners know will do nothing to curtail crime. However if we give in to one thing it won稚 stop. There are so many examples of failed gun control legislation at the state level no reasonable person should think national adoption would work.

Lock up the crazy people, kill the murders. Let痴 see how that works first.

Over the last 3 months at least, the stock market doesn't like TSC either. They lag the broad market (S&P500) by 18 percent. Are they getting worse?

My local Tractor Supply needs to change its name to “Pet Supply”. I don’t think I’ve ever found a tractor part, even commonly used ones, that I need. Over the last decade, their inventory gets less and less tractor related. That’s why I buy most tractor stuff online.

I agree, and the few parts they have are sky high.

The TSC here has a decent price on chicken food, and I pick up a part or a widget every once in a while. Murdochs gets more of my business though. they are much cheaper than ace for hardware and whatnot, and closer to home.

You can't have it both ways. You can't have a society where guns are treated like sundry items, and then get all bent out of shape when something bad happens. If I had sharp objects lying all over the floors of my house, I shouldn't be surprised or get upset if I occassionaly injure myself.

So they did this because of a single customer complaint? What about all of us that were good with it as long as it was legit and the recipient passed a background check?

Sounds like I may need to re-evaluate my TSC purchases.

No, I'm suggesting that if you have enough dangerous stuff around, and then especially treat that as sundry, whether it's cars, tractors, chainsaws, bad stuff will happen from time to time. Human, emotions and instability will always be there, it's nothing new. A leader can be crazy and kill millions of people, including his own, but some little turd goes berserk, and people say, how is this possible? Maybe you just need to call it something fun, like "Shock and Awe"

I have mixed feelings on "gun control" ... while I'm all for comprehensive background checks... there is a old saying that you don't want to let the camel get his nose in the tent. .. once he does, the rest of him is going to follow. It's the same with the Dems and anti gun crowd. .. And I believe a unarmed population is the governments wet dream

You said a mouthfull there. An unarmed population (except criminals) becomes easy prey for criminals and a tyrannical government.
