You can't have it both ways. You can't have a society where guns are treated like sundry items, and then get all bent out of shape when something bad happens. If I had sharp objects lying all over the floors of my house, I shouldn't be surprised or get upset if I occassionaly injure myself.

You are the one with the immediate worries. If Trudeau gets reelected, Canada will become another Australia, except for the criminal element of course. Criminals don't obey that law....lol

Yeah, recent shootings again in the GTA (Toronto). Once again, it wasn't the Dutch or Greek communities. GOD, I wish WE had a TRUMP! Or mayba a slightly nastier brother! lol Someone who would lay down the law!

Hopefully, the 'blackface' thing sets in voters minds but I doubt it. You have that Toronto liberal issue to deal with or should I say succumb to.

The writing is on the wall...You do not need special glasses to read it...It is only going to get worse...

The anti gun sentiment has reached a critical mass...it will not recede...every new shooting that makes the mainstream news adds to the negativism.

More and more businesses (like T_S_C) that deal with the public are going to moving in the same direction...it would not surprise me if in some places retailers start installing metal detectors and hiring security personnel to keep even legally carried firearms out of their stores etc...

IMO the big conundrum that is in the way of actually preventing a majority of mass shootings is HIPPA
If there is no compromise with HIPPA...it will come to a worst case scenario as it applies to new legislation...

Like they say, you give up your rights and guns for security, you will have neither. BET on it!

I always wonder what would happen if you had a shooter or shooters, some LEOS AND a bunch of motivated carrying citizens. Can't you just imagine the mayhem and confusion? So who is the BAD guy?

The anti gun zelots need to realize that guns are not the problem, but rather a tool. People had access to guns for many many years, yet this shooting craze is a recent event.

What changed?

It's the lack of respect for life. It's the breakdown of the family unit, where there is parenting involved. It's the availability of mind altering drugs. It's the I'm more important than you attitude.

Society is imploding. Turn on the news, there's always brain dead protesters fighting against the system.

Self defense weapons is needed more so now than any time in our past. Just this week two teenage thugs randomly attacked a 59 yo at a fair, killing him. It's a shame no one had the right tool to help him.

Hate to say it but in the big picture the only thing that has changed is the availability of certain types of firearms and magazines etc...

Yes the "going postal" has been around for a while and I don't recall them using AR's.. I'm pretty sure they used other things and several of them to accomplish what they wanted to accomplish..
