Echo vs Husqvarna

My echo is a grey color cs440. No primer bulb. I think the following year they went to red color and a primer. My Husky 357xp is the worst cold start of the group, with my 372xp being the best at around 6 pulls.

Actually there are lots of good chainsaws, Stihl, Husky, Johnnies, Echo. Probably others.

Dont forget the $100.00 Bluemax, "dont get confuesed dont get upset".............. How to Start a BlueMax ChainSaw - YouTube

I am not familiar with Blue Max. Dreamland continued today, I fired up my Stihl MS261 in 2 pulls after not using since last weekend. It is not even an Mtronic, it is carbed. If it makes anyone feel better I ran it out of fuel and it took 3 pulls after refueling and oiling.

I was cleaning up some more old apple trees, off to the burn pile. I was able to salvage about a 1/3 cord of apple firewood today, most of these trees were termite laden.

The mark of a properly tuned saw. Do you adjust the mixture yourself, or have you just found a shop who knows what they are doing?

A properly tuned saw is key but Stihl has put very little effort into making the pulling process easier for the user. I have the biggest Stihl hand held blower with "easy to start", it really doesn't work all that well for the added weight of the system. A stock Husky or Echo starts much easier..

The other day I started my Redback Saw with no pulls other than pulling the trigger. Lol. My Ryobi also starts the same, Have not used my Husky for several months.

That why I sent you that highly informative educational video from a professional logger on the Bluemax saw. I used my 501p yesterday after a 4 week rest and I had pull the cord 5 times, can you believe that,,,, me neither...........

How old you say your Stihl saw is? I manage to find one dealer that post their price, it's up there, same as what I paid for my 550xp last winter, and it has a M-tronic carb which I thought it should have because my son's Stihl 441 has that.
