You've got Jack in the Box up there? We used to have them here a long time ago, but there was some sort of food poisoning scare & they all closed.

This past July my son was huffing and puffing when had 3 big 16' pine logs to saw, come up to me saying, we gotta do something we gotta do something if I saw more of those logs, they'er to heavy to turn........ Guess he got spoiled on cedar.

It's built just like you would a pole barn, just adjusted for size, for this need,

I over built the rafters a bit, because at some point it's going to get a electric winch put up there... I milled out the 2x12's to lam up the beam,
to have a 26' door opening. It went up easy even though I did it myself,

It's been getting built in stages, and it's about to get another "stage"! lol SR

Some of those "big boys" are a real job to turn! Even a 30" x 20' pine is a pretty good load,

But my winch log turner takes care of them nicely!

BUT it's a hand crank, how come you dont set a battery winch on that post? For me that winch post would be always in the way because I'm taking off filches on that side, I need to go overhead.......
