Yes, I am looking forward to the heavier weight, higher hp, and greater lift capacity for grappling and ground work (food plots, fixing hog damage, brush hogging and ditch bank mowing). It will be a lot more fun without sweat poring out of my body 8 months out of the year.

The spellcheck story is hilarious. Every time I see an orange tractor, I do a double take and have to really look to see which brand it is!

Not much left in the garden so I decided to subsoil. Then Ill till and get ready to plant a cover crop if we ever get rain.

Come get some of ours. We've set both all-time snowfall and all-time precip records for 2019. Got an inch more rain today and up to 3 more inches predicted tomorrow into Thursday.

We just set the driest and hottest Sept on record, and today and tomorrow if as planned will be the two hottest days ever recorded here in Oct. But we are still ahead of our yearly average for rain. Go figure.

I do so enjoy when Colorado Springs gets cold and snowy sending my cousin a pic of our thermometer.

We don’t live very far apart but it’s the same thing here.

Last time I was in Crossville was on a hog shoot in the late 80s. My buddy swore he heard them open the gate to let them out.

Weird weather in the desert....

We've had snow falling the past 3 days...according to the National Weather Service, this is the first time we've had snow on this date since they started keeping records 142 years ago, in 1877. This morning it was only 19 degrees out there. I decided to get out there and mow some weeds today, taking advantage of the wet ground because usually the mower sucks up so much dust it is hard to see. Kind of eerie - I'm used to clear blue sky but when I started the cloud cover looked like it was only 50 feet above the valley floor and the mountains were totally obscured.
