Any Can Am Defender HD5 or HD8 owners Reviews wanted

Thanks! Do you know if the shifting issue was only 2016 model year? What did you replace it with?

I any no longer with the government agency where this machine was purchased and still being used today.. To the best of my knowledge, no more shifting or transmission grief with this HD10. Its up for replacement today and they are not sure what they'll get. Might be another Defender.

Spoke to a Can Am dealer yesterday and he said they are expecting more rebates on top on what they are already offering this coming week on 2019 models. I've been talking to him about a Defender DPS.

Thanks! I think current is $1200-$1500 depending on model. Are you looking at HD5, HD8 or HD10?

I've been talking to him about a 2019 DPS HD8. I was originally talking to him about an XT but he said the rebate on the XT is only $500 instead of $1500 on the DPS.

Went and looked at a Kawasaki Mule FXT LE last week. The local dealer doesn't want to come off of MSRP on a 2020 model. I found a couple 2019's for way less than MSRP but they are about 6 hours away. Personally, I won't pay MSRP for items such as cars, tractors, sxs etc.

You're right $500 on a HD8 XT, the $1200 is the HD10 XT.
Did the Can Am dealer offer any more than the rebate off?

The initial price he gave me was a few hundred off MSRP.

One thing I do I find odd about Can Am is that the red sxs is more than the same model in green. The red costs about $600 more.
