That might not be the exact number, I was including the extra tax I would need to pay on the higher priced truck. Specced out the way that I would get it the Ranger is a little under 32K, the price for a comparable F150s are around 40K, based on MSRP. Although my excise tax is based on that number, nobody pays full price.$9K is not chump change.

Make sure you verify the computer with hand calculation, as the computers are notoriously optimistic. There is also a way to manually adjust the formula the computer uses to make it more accurate, if you're so inclined. I've adjusted mine so it is within ~.2 or .3 every time I hand verify.

I'm checking this tank-full but .2 to .3 is not bad considering it's hard to get the exact same level, temperature, and cut-off of the filling station's nozzle the same during the two fill-ups for verification accuracies.
Where Is the manual adjustment?
