GM trucks have slipped

I don't know. I looked at all of them pretty hard and went with the 2019 2500 Chevy DMax LTZ for what I perceived to be the best value. The only thing that I do not like about my truck that I didn't know or realize before I bought it was that there are no air vents in the back seat for heat or AC. I find that very strange indeed being a crew cab and all. Even my 2006 F-150 that I traded in had vents in the back for the rear passengers.

Outside of that, I'm pretty happy so far through 16,000 miles.

I have a 08 6.6. Trouble free except for the Gimmicks.

BUT, if they are going to give you Gimmicks in a SLE trim level, how about a light in the glove compartment, or place to put your sunglasses?

There should be some under the front seat that will freeze your rear passengers' feet off, but none that'll freeze their faces off.

My Dad always kept the heat in the house cool to save money but in the vehicle, where the heat was FREE, it was full blast. Heck, stuff a piece of carboard in front of the rad to make it even warmer. I could never even breath!

I guess dual climate is nothing new. I either liked it, or could walk and have the climate outside!

I find that very hard to believe. There are bound to be rear cabin vents for AC & heat in a 2019 DMax. You just have to look harder. The other day I was fiddling with all the digital controls. It's become cold enough to need heat. When I got all done - I noticed that heat to the front was not quite as "strong". So - back to the digital display and all the controls.

Well - I had accidentally activated heat to the rear cabin. I don't give a hoot if those in the back freeze. Besides there never is anybody back there.

Darn - I guess, sooner or later, I will become "fluent" with all this digital stuff. Same with my new iPhone.

The only truck my Dad ever had - brand new 1948 one ton Chevy. And it didn't have a heater - heater was an option. This was in NE WA state. Made for some very invigorating winter driving. My Dad would not have said a dam thing about it being cold until he was completely frozen solid either. That's just the way it was in those days.

An 殿verage doesn稚 necessarily mean half are above and half are below a certain number. That would be the 杜edian number.
典he median is the middle point of a number set, in which half the numbers are above the median and half are below.

.

Ah...beat me too it.

Averages tend to be skewed by extremes. One Model T and that average is out the window. Most staticians get rid of the low and high extremes to get a better average.

I have had new trucks since 94. Dodge and GM. NOT ONE, could put a decent amount of heat to your feet. NOT like vehicles of old. BUT, my latest GM has Dual climate control, blah, blah, blah, bs!

A high number of late model vehicles vs older years? Anything like that might throw it off as long as you are talking about the median number. If you are really talking about averages that's great. But the discussion was about the median and they were comparing averages.

What would you throw out to get a fair average? I’d probably tighten the standards to something that gets drove 1,000 miles a year minimum. That would probably result in the most accurate average taking out the antique show cars.
