What would you throw out to get a fair average? I’d probably tighten the standards to something that gets drove 1,000 miles a year minimum. That would probably result in the most accurate average taking out the antique show cars.

Just understand and use accurate terms. What was consistently mentioned was that " there were half newer and half older than 1999 (or whatever year)" They were referring to the median number as the average. The links that were posted appeared to be giving an 'average age' of vehicles registered. Just understand that the "average" is not a number where half are higher and half are lower.

Yeah but, what about the current GM strike? What effect will that have on the public opinion of the brand?

More like what effect it will have on the public opinion of the union's leadership scandal. There's a ton of articles on that, so look them up. Discussing it here will eventually go political and the thread will get moved/closed, etc..

I'll look under the seats for heaters. I just know there are no vents on the back of the center console like my old Ford had. I'm very surprised by this and the fact there is also no control for back seat passengers. It's not really a huge deal for me because I rarely have anyone back there, but I do sometimes and wish my kids would have some control without me having to change my settings.

This has the dual climate controls and it works very well as my wife and I like different temps. If she's been with me and I switch the defrost on the next morning, the passenger side will fog up while the driver side clears. Then I remember to hit the button that puts them back on the same setting and the passenger side clears too. LOL

All I wanna know is, who in their right mind goes out to look at these new trucks and thinks the pricing isn't completely batsh!t and astronomically insane!!!!! I get it if you buy it for money-makin, but still.

I purchased a used 2009 Avalanche LTZ. Had it quite a while, now. It's loaded and has basically every RPO available-and I've grown to appreciate them.

While looking at a new vehicle for the family, I checked out a new truck, too. With MOST of the features I currently have, a new truck would be in the $70k range. I make pretty decent money but cannot justify that. These prices are incredible.

Hardly any truck work truly enjoying can be had lower than the 40s. I hope the auto bubble pops and the manufacturers come to their senses. What they want for used, anymore is crazy, too. Makes me kind of sick. I look back on all the trucks I've sold off over the years and I miss them so badly. The new stuff just isn't THAT nice to get me to bite. You can thank financing for these prices.

I agree. That stupid tailgate-I laughed when the salesman showed it to me. Don't even look at the line-item cost of it. I could buy a beater truck for that package price, alone.

I've always been surprised the GM's don't have the vents in the rear of the console. But I think on some of the brands, you only get those vents on higher trim levels.

Pretty much every Chevy I've owned, the rear passengers get too hot when I'm just warm enough and too cold when I'm just cool enough. There's no pleasing them back there....

I’m dating myself, but back in 1980 our crew vehicle was a hand me down State Police weigh wagon Suburban. I always got stuck in the back seat freezing my tail off because that thing had no allowances for rear heat. I asked the guys in front one day to run the defrost to share the heat but they said “no; then we would get cold.

I've got a '93 Suburban that was an Emergency Services vehicle in its previous life. It has no rear heat, only the front. The kids roast in the back in winter and freeze in the summer. I think it's because Chevy's are so drafty all the cabin air gets forced to the back as you drive!
