Another new electric vehicle, to be revealed on November 17 by Ford

Looks to be the Blue Ovals competition in the Small Cross Over Class for the yet to be sold Tesla Model Y.

Named the Mach E

300+ mile range in the higher line AWD model and 150kw fast charge, Charges 47 miles every 10 minutes

"Could" be at some Ford dealers lots around April or May

I was told by a local Ford dealership this week that the owner was telling the staff that the first EV will be a four door Ford Mustang positioned to compete with the Model 3 from Tesla. There were no specs or timeline mentioned by the staff member telling me this.

Clearly something is in the works at Ford. At least they have 2 free charging stations that are good for my Leaf. I bet the fast charger will be installed before this mystery car comes off of the truck.

I'm sorry, but a four-door Mustang is just WRONG!!

Me 3 on that one. I found myself dealing with that image even this morning. :)

Ford seems to between a rock and a hard spot $$$ and technology. Stating you are coming out with a four wheel drive Ford F-150 EV will cause a few to delay their planned purchase of an ICE F-150 holding up new sales near term. If it comes in at $70K it may be a hard sale. After saying that yesterday I learned our electrical coop has some V-8 hybrids in the field and offer a free 240 volt charging station for free during business hours if they are not using it. I did not even know Ford had 5.0L/hybrids in the field. I wonder if they may be test vehicles through Fleet sales?

The next 5 years will be telling for the auto market I expect. EV/ICE sales ratios of Europe and China are coming to the USA and Ford knows that. I am not hearing about any EV trucks from GM or Dodge but they may have some out there.

If what I was told about 4 doors is factual I bet they will not have many Mustang muscle car owners coming into trade for a 4 door version. :)

I agree. I said the same thing about a four door Charger though, yet they don't seem to have a problem selling them.

It didn't matter what they did or whose signature they put on them...mustangs always were and always will be a "chick car"

you mean Chick magnet , right?

Not a Mustang guy but Old Shelbys and any early Mustang that was equipped with a 427, 428 or 429 were pretty strong runners
