Uhh, because that's how our election process works?

Too many people sit at home philosophising on the internet and not voting?

We think we can merely wish good behavior on the worst characters among us while expecting them to share our values?

Everyone thinks we're doing enough 'good works', or it looks that way from our front porch?

Just text this question to the guy(s) who made it this way. ;)

May be OT, but kenmac isn't in jail for listening to the wrong opinion ... (Trolls may remember me yet and resume their hobby :drink:)

Unfortunately, simply voting isn't enough. To really make a difference we would need to be more active in the operations of our government... something which I don't have the time or knowledge to invest. As the population grows we are going to lose more and more freedoms to be part of "society"; or else we will be joining Kenmac in jail.

Wait a minute, I must have missed something. When did he go to jail, and what is he in for?

He is in the house with no hostages, you shut off the power, water and throw tear gas in. If that doesn稚 work you wait him out. No need to damage someone痴 house to this extent for one man that not shooting at the cops surrounding the place.
It seems like they have time constraints; i.e., we have to wrap this up so that the county doesn't need to pay overtime.

There was a case in Northern Maine a while back where several LEOs went to a woman's house because she was suicidal. There was nobody else in the house nor were any neighbors nearby; yet they ended up killing her. 25 F3d 17 Hegarty v. Somerset County M Hegarty a | OpenJurist

Yes, I am wired to do what would be necessary to keep a civil society. I don't believe rapists, child molester's, or murderer's need to be locked up... they need to be gone.
Would you just round them up and use firing squads and gas chambers?...then doze all the bodies into mass graves?...funny that sounds vaguely familiar...

BTW...exactly what "absurd and disgusting" crime(s) has the POTUS gotten away with? and who the victims are?

at least someone has common sense. Perhaps you can teach the thug cops how it's done

Is your issue with the police or the city?

I don't know how to extract an armed suspect that is barricaded in a house without getting killed. I'm glad I don't have to do it.

wow so, you know of no other way to do it, than to blow an someone's house apart ?
Are you a cop. If not, perhaps you should be, because you think just like them. No common sense

If you feel that your expertise and understand of the complete situation is sufficient to conclude that you are right and the police were wrong, then so be it.

I'm less confident. I'm more willing to defer judgement to the people that put their lives on the line, and the other people that sat through the complete set of details in the court case.

IMO, the party to blame would be the criminal that holed up in the house. I strongly suspect that he has no money, so they sue someone with money.

Yeah. leave cops like this in charge of operations. Brookside police lieutenant arrested at Dave and Busters in Hoover - al.com He knows better than anyone else how to handle situations like this.

Perhaps someone like him will handle some serious situation for you some day.

How many people do you think he has arrested for the same thing ?

Oh, and they aren't just in my state, they are all over the country

That's nothing close to what I said, and it's a completely different situation. That's why the legal system responded to it so differently.

It's different because he wasn't there. But, there was someone just like him there making decisions.Cause, No one in their right mind would blow up some innocent person's house.

As had already been stated, Turn off all utilities to the home. Sooner,or later he will come out

So easy a cave man can do it. But wait, we aren't talking about cave men, we are talking about people that have less sense than a cave man !

Bet it would be a different story if it had been your home

So many, young, white, educated people have trouble finding work. What chance does an Ex-Con possibly have? The pack mentality of humans certainly would do him no favours.
Not around here. Job openings take forever to fill and many go unresponsed to by anyone qualified. Right now I probably would hire an ex-con. Certain ones anyway.
