On a somewhat related note, I watched an episode of LivePD where they were executing a search warrant on a convicted felon's house, because he posted pictures of himself on social media posing with guns and acting tough. Sure enough, he had guns and drugs and all sorts of stuff to send him back to prison.

This struck me as a particularly stupid way to lose one's freedom, so I asked my SIL whether her clients (that's what she calls them) often get arrested for things they post on social media. This evoked a particularly animated response, and she said, "ALL THE TIME!!!"

It would seem that some people simply lack the ability and/or desire to control their behavior based on the reasonably expected consequences.

Most criminals that get caught do so because they brag about their crimes.

Long ago they didn't have the advanced tech ways of bragging like they do today on Facebook, instagram, twitter, TBN, laughing etc, etc, etc.

So......you'd volunteer for their "destruction". Are you saying you're wired for it? But that would mean you'd have to remove yourself....

Yes, I am wired to do what would be necessary to keep a civil society. I don't believe rapists, child molester's, or murderer's need to be locked up... they need to be gone.

Good luck with that one. The world doesn't spin like that anymore, the "golden rule" has become "don't get caught"... Just look at what the POTUS can get away with. Absurd and disgusting.

Of course, educate prisoners in jail does also reduce crime when they get out and has a better chance to get a job and stay out of crime.

Papa Joe Biden should help Hunter Biden get help now before he goes to jail. That drug addiction is going to get him into some real trouble. The billion $$'s he ripped off the Ukraine gas company may be too much to sweep under the rug.

Is your issue with the police or the city?

I don't know how to extract an armed suspect that is barricaded in a house without getting killed. I'm glad I don't have to do it.

He is in the house with no hostages, you shut off the power, water and throw tear gas in. If that doesn’t work you wait him out. No need to damage someone’s house to this extent for one man that not shooting at the cops surrounding the place.
