Did you actually get a reply from Bro-Tek? They had the absolute best freight charge. I tried Michigan Iron Works but the freight charge was twice what the Ripper cost.

"We are sorry, we are not able to fulfill your order with us, before we get around completing this order it shall be spring 2020.
You can check with us in a few months, but till then Ripper & Thumb production has some delays.
We are still open & very busy; we hope to speed up our production line.
We can put you on the waiting list if you want.
Best regards’,
Richard "

RandyinTN Thanks for the info from Bro-Tek. Their Rippers are well worth the wait, if you have the time.

Anyone have any updates on finding a ripper?

I got my 'Five-Star' ripper tooth from MIE, custom made to the nth detail like my Hound Dog grapple. I suppose it's a bit 'over-built' (~2x, lol) for my Terramite T5C .. but then .. :cloud9:.

MIE sends you a worksheet for your ___. You fill in a few dimensional blanks, ie: pin dia/spacing, 'hub' widths, etc just to duplicate whatever your OEM dipper takes or buckets are. btw, open the pics here to see them upright and appreciate some 5-Star HD equipment.

These wonderful folks are much more than a continuing 'Five-Paw' Kioti Dealer, they are a humble 'custom shop' (my words, but call them ;)) with a great bunch of craftsmen in the back room. (!) I insist there's no better example of 'you get what you pay for' and thereby no excuse whatsoever to try to beat a very good value/$$, if you recognize one when you see it. I promise you'll come to appreciate MIE. Don't thank me, thank them! :) (You asked, .. my turn to share my best info/experience. t o g :p)

I bought a ripper from Bxpanded. Looks like a butter knife. It bent a bit a couple of times so I welded flat stock on the back to make a T shape... But the teeth have not dulled and I'm on tree stump number 40. Kubota b2620 with the bh65 backhoe. Every cylinder has been replaced to the next size up and it just works great!!

Bought the quick attach setup for the backhoe. Ripping a tree root out, it went "limp". Upon investigation, it literally ripped the pieces apart. Bxpanded got these pictures and I got a new one in the mail.... SO, why not give them a shot.

Wow, look at that. How thick is the steel where it tore apart?

I bought the ripper tooth for my Chinese mini-X, and it is quite robust and useful. Years ago, I had the steel cut for a tooth for my backhoe, but I never welded it up.

3/8 steel! I was astonished! I never would have thought..... but then again, anything is possible in hydraulics

What was the cost?
I did email them today asking if they made something for a Kioti KB2485.

I wanted a Ripper Tooth for my LS so I called MIE. The price was good ($450 range) but the shipping was over $800 to Alaska. Even though the Ripper Tooth was top quality, the shipping was just to steep. You should have better shipping costs.
