I remember a documentary about GMs first (Great) EV, was it the VOLT? Suddenly they realized, their Service Departments would be put out of business. Then they destroyed every last one of those great cars.

Lead acid batteries were used and weigh quite a bit, Pretty sure everything since the first Tesla roadster are Lithium Ion of some sort
Lots of Volts still out there. I still think an upsized Voltec system could have worked well for GM / Chevy trucks
