lman lives in northern Indiana, and it is the duck capital of the world.

He can prolly get you a deal on a replacement

It would be frozen.

When I was 12 years old I was told to help my Grandmother butcher chickens. I subsequently removed the heads of the chickens with a hatchet. I lived on a farm and was taught that the chickens and other livestock had a purpose to provide food. We had ducks and they were butchered for food. I enjoyed them but knew that they would eventually become food. Last I knew I did not grow up to become a serial killer.

Me too, with chickens, much younger than 12. Normal tool was a butcher knife but my Mom was good at wringing their necks with a certain snap motion. We did not, however, employ the family cat to perform the task.

What on earth happened to this thread !!??

On a thread about mice causing damage to property/equipment free roaming cats were mentionned….imagine that

It is apparently enough to trigger some people

I grew up in Ohio. As the frost came in the fall the mice headed indoors. We would gather up hedge apples and placed them around the foundation of the house. No more mice in the house. And the best part was it was free.

I'll bet those weren't the personal pets of a 9 year old kid though. the duck I mentioned was only 1 and the personal pet of My Nephew, people don't kill kids pets!..

I agree. Reminds me of a story I read where a family was going out of town and left their daughters rabbit with the neighbors to take care of. When the family came back the neighbor husband told the little girl he ate her rabbit. Apparently he was not joking. Very cruel.

Correct. Chickens raised for eggs and meat on a farm were never my pets.

NO! that's a sick thought making a pet killed by a cat dinner for thanksgiving!!. Turkeys are the traditional bird for Thanksgiving anyway!!. the emotions of My 9 year old Nephew matter MUCH more to ME.. What kind of Human being what suggest this??.. ALSO. you are added to my ignore list!!..

Dude, chill out, your being baited in with duck fat and then getting all serious about it with some of the members.
If it bothers you that much, then maybe you should probably go somewhere else in the forum and just read some different stuff, otherwise, these guys are gonna keep on yah.

Those that think radios1s 9 year old nephew should shrug off his pet being killed should go somewhere else. Are TBN members so callous that they dismiss a 9 year old kid? A kid. Good grief.
