What are you planting? Around here that's usually oats in October I think.

I planted buckwheat Labor Day for hunting over. Plowed it Saturday so it can lay out until next summer when I plant something else for deer season. Buckwheat worked okay but first frost got it and it was done.

The disk was over at the farm and I brought it home when I brought the plows back is the only reason it is on the trailer.

Yessir. Laminating. The wood is actually submerged in the hot water tank.

They for decoration or being used?
I have done a bit of steam bending and bend three time to break down the lignin so it doesn't come back, bend the way you want then the opposite3 way then back the way you want, found it reduces a lot of movement in the future.
My steamer was really sophisticated, a 2 litre olive oil tin with a copper pipe soldered on sitting on a gas burner, plastic water pipe with a rag stuffed in each end, wide enough to take whatever I was bending, looked pretty rough but it worked well.

They are for use on saddles. Ours is very sophisticated . A stainless steel tank about 3'x4' and 3' tall with a heating element. Submerge the laminates til hot enough to bend.
