What do you do with your Instant Pot you cant do with a crock pot?

Or my wife of 11 years? She thought the Air Fryer was stupid till she had 2-3 meals made in it. Now ...she's a believer. She bought into the Instant Pot "instantly" after the first chicken breasts I fixed for her.

First test and meal from the Insta-Pot today. Beef Stroganoff! 5 minutes to saute the beef, onions and mushrooms, 5 minutes to come up to pressure after adding the egg noodles, cream of mushroom soup and beef stock. High pressure for 2 minutes, release the pressure and stir in the sour cream and enjoy. Next time the red wine will be added. The Wife likes to follow a recipe for the first time and then make changes to perfect.

Have vegetable beef soup that is "right" in about a hour.

Insta-pot= Fast, Slow-cooker= Slow.

You can't saute or fry in a slow-cooker (Crock-Pot).

We Love our Slow-Cooker but there are times that they are to slow. Insta-Pot= Fast.

Do not confuse Insta Pot with Instant Pot. Only Instant Pot has the stainless steel liner. I do not think the Instant Pot makes a combo and I cannot find the Insta Pot combo but I do remember seeing something on a TV add. It does seem like it would be hard to make a pressure cooker a hot air fryer of the same quality as two separate cookers.

I think Mr. Ford is describing the “Ninja Cooker”? It seems like a multi-purpose tool that does a lot but ... nothing very well?

we just got one and failed terribly, that being said, how do you folks determine when food is done since you can't see and or take a temperature, my unit spends more time pressurising and depressuring then actually cooking?
