JD 4320 hst compact

Someone I kind of know is selling a jd 4320 hst compact open station with roughly 300 hours and I believe around a 2011 model. It has a backhoe and some other attachments with it.

First is $20,000 a decent price, everything appears to look good with no noticeable problems?

Also I would like to add a 3rd function to the loader and 3 rear remotes, what am I looking at cost wise and should this be done factory or aftermarket?

'Sounds' like a deal. 300hrs is barely broken in and it's a pre-Tier 4. With a backhoe! An even better deal.

As to the add-ons, I can't say.

Thanks, I知 going to look it over next weekend, is there anything in particular to check close on these 4x20 series tractors. I talked with him today and he mentioned that 3 years ago a hydrastat sensor went out and the tractor had to be split to fix. However no issues since then.

Any faults that I can find, on line, are typical ones pretty much generic to any tractor.

Thank you for that link, I had never seen that section before. I just read them all and nothing jumps out as a major red flag. I知 going to look at it and ride it around next weekend, my plan as on now is to buy it unless something major jumps out at me like no oil in the motor

Well I made the deal on the tractor, it ended up being $21,000 for tractor, backhoe and all attachments.

The attachment are:
Backhoe
48” hd quick attach forks
72” disc
Mx6 bush hog
55gal pto sprayer
3pt Spreader
Imatch quick hitch

Looks like a pretty good deal.

I'm sure John Deere makes kits but If you are mechanically inclined you could fabricate a diverter for the loader third function. You could also tap into the power beyond circuit for the backhoe to add some rears. All you should need there is a 3 gang open center spool valve setup.

Thanks I don’t think I got hurt on the deal, I got all of the attachments unloaded today, then pressure washed any dirt and grime off them followed by greasing everything. So far everything looks good. I’ll bring the tractor home next week and clean it up good and grease it up. All of the fluids were full and clean.

My list of immediate things for the tractor are:
New pto switch, when loading everything up I noticed the pto light would come on. If I messed with the switch it would go back off.
Telescoping lift arms.
Upgrade from singe cruise switch to advanced cruise.

Sometime in the next year I plan to add rear remotes to it.

I'm just curious, what's the difference between "single cruise" and "advanced cruise"?

Here’s the link, my understanding is all you have to do is plug it in and it will work, no dealer programming involved. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong. It allows your cruise to work like a vehicle. It adds accelerate, deceleration, and resume. Also also allows you to set a max speed but my reading shows this to be instead max rpm and appears useless. It also gives you a motion match rocker switch rather than going through the dash to adjust. Cost is $120 roughly

Neat! Just looked up the LVB2530 cruise update kit for my 4310 and found one for $48 shipped. Not super clear on what all comes with it but I assume at least the console, two switches, and the harness.

I'm guessing just the two switches. The harness is already in the tractor and the console has cutouts from the rear.

That's a good price, do you mind sharing the link so I can order one.

The cutout for the second switch is not in the console on the standard cruise control. The JD parts catalog reads "Remarks AUTOMOTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (INCLUDES PARTS MARKED (A)) (ALSO INCLUDES LVA11253 HARNESS)"

EDIT: I see an "A" by the parts in the list. Looks like it will just be the two switches and the wiring harness required. Guess I will have to cut my own hole for the second switch.
