What do you do with your Instant Pot you cant do with a crock pot?

Instant Pot DUO60, 6qt is 1000 watts.

Our Crock Pot is 250 watts.

I suspect, whenever you get your watt meter back, that you use more kWH with the slow cooker.

Either method would cost way, way less than a normal tip at a restaurant around here. Plus you get a good yummy meal. I would not split electrons, there is a place for both in most kitchens.

Yikes! I guess I now understand. Around $100 / month down here (summer and winter) with our dam electricity on a 3000 sq ft house and 1000 sq ft shop. Jumps to around $120 in the 2 shoulder months when the heat pump runs (when not worth having the wood stove running).

Winter has been so mild that even we have been on Hydro up until now. Winter just showed up today -14F. Bills will increase now when they fire up those big Enterprise Power plants. Oh the Joy.
