Best way to clear unwanted trees from pasture

That's a good question! Just a wild guess, but maybe another 1,000 to go. Considering that my wife and I work full time, and we have only been working on it on the weekends for the past two months, we are making progress. It has been 95 degrees for the last two months. It is supposed to be 75-80 this weekend, so that will be a nice break!

Sometimes I like to go back and read the start of a long running thread, just to see what it evolved from. This was one which I remember from the start, when you began asking questions. It seems like you gave it a lot of thought and came out with the best solution for your needs. :thumbsup:
What you have done looks great, years from now after you have forgotten all of the blood, sweat, and tears you will look back and say "I made it look like this." Thank you for following up with your choice, as well as letting us know how things are progressing.

If you want an easy removal fence the area into small padlocks and over stock with goats and horses. Add some pigs if you want cultivation!

Update. So far we have cut down 971 Bradford Pear trees and we have burned the first eight burn piles.

Just for the sake of my own curiosity: how many hours have you logged on the M7060 now? (total hours - as I'm sure the number spent cutting is likely less ...and probably a nuisance to figure out)

Thanks. 155 hours on the tractor so far. The 1167 trees is just the Bradford Pear trees. We have also cut a many, many, small oak tree and blackberry patches. I now have mad skills with the M7060, TurboSaw, loading and unloading the tractor on a flatbed trailer, etc., etc. It's wearing this old man out, lol.
