Please don’t use gasoline Drew! The vapors you can’t see ... are what will get you. Just use a bit of diesel fuel instead.

+1 for what Rick said, Drew. Use Diesel AND motor oil, and NO gasoline. Put the motor oil on first, then use the Diesel to get the heavier oil going. The motor oil will burn longer, helping to dry out damp tinder. Gasoline will burn very quickly, leaving the tinder damp and not hot/dry enough to continue burning on its own.

That said, I HAVE used gasoline on numerous occasions, always being careful to minimize the time between pouring the gasoline and lighting it so that the explosive vapor cloud is minimized. And always standing well back, throwing kitchen matches or lit paper balls so I'm well outside the flash circle when it goes off. These days, the only time I even consider using gasoline is when it's old and spoiled, and even then I pour it in a 16 oz. spaghetti sauce can first. Then the wood/etc. goes on top of that, with Diesel fuel used as a starter on the wood. The can minimizes gasoline vapor formation, and acts more like a candle/torch while the gasoline burns off.

I’d like the goulash recipe, mine is a little bland, not enough stuff in it for me.

Recipe calls for sweet Hungarian paprika, which they claim is a different taste than normal paprika. I couldn’t find it, so using some normal paprika. Wife started chopping green and red peppers and carrots. Most IP goulash recipes I saw looked like hamburger with macaroni. Nothing like goulash soup.
I found a recipe that looks like goulash soup, then found one similar for IP. I’m using the non IP recipe and modifing for IP.

Goulash is in the IP.
I sauted the onion 1 instead of 2, garlic, peppers. About 5 -6 min.
Removed that
Added little olive oil and sauted beef till brown.
Coated meat with paprika,
Then threw rest of stuff in and Pressure cooking 20 min.

Backup plan is my son brings home a pizza after working out. Forgot to take picture before closing lid. Here is peppers.

Pretty good day. Cottage ready, tenants just landed Kona asking if we need anything from Costco.

Installed the new Dish Wally to replace the VIP711 receiver that gave up its smoke. Wally looks nice. Talked with Dish about upgrading our Hopper 1. They want $100. Can get Hopper 2 no charge. Think our Hopper is like 9 years old. Decisions.

Between rain last night and shower mis morning, dirt pile just too muddy, so just minimal raking along the new slab. Another day.

Good evening all. 33F for the start, mostly clear, light wind. Sky was clear. wind was moderate early then back off to nearly calm, high temp was 55F. Bike ride today, nap then take easy rest of day.
Really sounds like everyone is back in the normal routine after the holidays.
RNG good luck with your new script.
Ted, interesting they had you access on the fly and work on the most easy to save.
Drew sounds like moving cleanup!
Don when we have Scooter, he like to roll in grass, but because he is mostly white does not show as well. :(
prayers for all.

I have a grease jerk on the JD FEL that is not getting the grease to the pivot point. I can get a tiny bit of grease to go into the jerk but then it stops. I got a nail and pushed the little ball on the end of the jerk and it did mash in and a little bit of grease under pressure came out. It almost seems like it's stopped up on the inside somewhere. Any ideas how to get grease into the pivot point?

Remove the grease zerk, then remove the dryed grease and spray some brake cleaner into it, reinstall the zerk and try again, repeat till it works.
You can try the hammer operated tools to clear a fitting they will work better if the zerk has ben removed and as much old grease removed as possible.

Good morning,
the temp is 14 and going to a high of 19°F. Wind NW 8 mph. Mainly cloudy. Snow tonight.

I am all ready for the snow, now the weatherman just has to co-operate.

I forgot to order oil on Friday, so will need to do that on Monday.

Today is another energy conservation day.

Have a safe day all

39 going to 48 and the sun returns after a couple of days of rains.

Driving home from Virginia Beach last night hit a rain front that looked on radar a lot like a summer storm, and had the downpour to match. Had a good visit with family - lots of little kids and babies and dogs...glad it was at my sister's house.

DABSGT, I bet that lasagna will be good.

You could try 'winter grease', it is thinner than the summer stuff.
I would suggest gentle heat, BUT we don't know for sure if there is any plastics in there that the heat will distort. Read that as a bigger can of worms.

Don ... this is the tool that Lou described.

I use Fluid Film in mine. I give a frozen zero a shot then leave it be for an hour or so then treat it again. Once it clears ... pump grease into the joint to clear the Fluid Film.

Waiting for first cup of coffee to cool enough to drink. Eating my first E Muffin from package. Have not had one in a long time. 31° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 33° with chance of snow flurries. Got shelf measured out to fit around electrical and water lines. Took it out to shop and found I have not been follow my rules of project is never done until everything is put away and area cleaned. Took a couple of hours to get that done.Still need to move Christmas Tree to storage area.
Also reorganized room where exercise bike is. I can now do my exercises without sun cooking me. But can still see garden pond. Today may be a conserve energy day. Shelf can wait.

Looking, not sure about your area. Looks like I may get some snow next Saturday. Tractor has not had to do any snow plow since November when we got 10".

Drew, I always use charcoal lighter to get a fire going. May add oil and diesel if pile is big.

Buckeye, Goulash looks good.

DABSGT, second day lasagna is the best. Lets the sauce soak in too cheese.

Prayers and best wishes to everyone.

Good Morning All.

Good morning. Our little run of almost dry and above freezing weather has one more day to go. A good time to catch up on a few garden tidying jobs.

Don, Whipper's coat reminds me of one of those K-Tel miracle brushes. Try asking her to roll in the other direction ;)

27 right now...high in the mid-20's today.
Didn't get enough snow to worry about yesterday. If I do anything, I'll use a broom to clear the dusting on the walks.
