Tough to find a 5610

Small stuff is carried in 5 gallon pails that are in the rear hood pockets and big stuff is carried in the grapple, bucket, or carry-all.

I can mount this carry-all on the front or rear!

Yes, I agree. I guess I'm going to have to be very patient and wait for a 5610. It'll drive me crazy, but worth the wait. IMHO, if you have to carry objects in the bed of the 5600, might as well just carry them in the bucket of the 5610?

Right, or use the forks to hold a box similar to this garden cart on my TORO+Loader:

OK, so heres another and I apologize for all the wandering around on the subject of trying to find a toolcat.
This has probably been debated to death, but whats the summary on tires?
I definitely feel like I'm a candidate for the taller tires. I like the idea of the improved ride quality and ground clearance. On my farm tractors, I have the tallest tires I can get. Smooths out the ruts a bit.
If I'm primarily using the machine for mowing fields, carrying round bales and some attachment work (york rake, box blade, snowplow) whats my best bet?
Like the toughness of an R4 but the lawn manners of a turf. Are the turfs durable enough for some rough ground work? Is there a tall turf? Or are the turfs restricted to 27"?

No experience with turfs. Have the tall R4s. Wish they offered R1s.

The R4 tires come in 27" or 29" while the turfs are only 29". The turfs are 2" wider so the machine will come with the wider fenders. The turfs are a tough 6 or 8 ply tire. The suspension on the machine will amaze you on the ride.

Ahhh, OK. You guys are terrific with the technical info.
Oh, and nice jobs on the carry alls!

Speaking of a carry all, This one is from Omni Mfg.:

Using it now on the Polaris:

Definitely an advocate for large wheels and tires.

I had sleepless nights when I got my Little Wheel loader with Turf Tires. Except for a couple of occassions, I just LOVE them and would have no other tires. Winter or Summer. Maybe it helps if they are all the same size and the rears follow the track of the front.

I’m learning lots as we go.
I was pretty much ignoring units with turfs, thinking they were 27” and “delicate”. Now I know better.
I’m now more determined to wait for a 5610.
If anyone sees one around 35k, please let me know. Its a tough find! There’s so few.
In meantime, please keep the discussion going!

Why not zero percent financing on a new one? That also gives you a warranty and possibly a tax write off.

And you get exactly what you want (including entry steps):

Hahaha!
I wish! Sell me your lovingly maintained used one, and you buy a new one! :drink:
Actually, your suggestion without question makes the most sense, but alas I am of the “financially challenged” variety of the great unwashed.
It’s not out of the question, but it would take years before I could make enough money with a new toolcat to exceed its monthly payment.
I have 11 other Diesel engine powered machines to maintain.
Like I said, not out of the question, but knowing I also need 2 mowers, it’s not realistic at this time.

I don’t have any experience with the turf tires but go with the 29” tires. Gives a little more transport speed and little extra ground clearance doesn’t hurt. I will say the Toolcat is not a mudder like a UTV like a Polaris ranger. Get into some some mud and that may be where you stay.

New equipment is always best. The downside is that with something seldom used, the warranty expires before you have even broken it in. If you own acerage and live in snow country, you want something with BIG wheels and lots of ground clearance. It's really the only thing that matters. It's easy enough to get stuck without having the issue of being hung up on your undercarriage.

Yes it’s the smartest money, but if you don’t have that money it’s a bummer.
Only way new works is if someone hires me for a long term project requiring a toolcat or someone dies and leaves me money.

I expensed most of my equipment over the years. GREAT when your hobby and interests align with business.

Believe me, I do. The partial list in my signature is an investment of over $300K.

Galaxy Super Trencher 29x12.5 R15 8 ply tires. On 15"x10" truck rims (6x5.5) w 4" backspace

Next to 29" Bobcat turfs on the last picture.

Hopefully these will help with the mud. I've got a lot of grade work to do.IMG_20200212_171349.jpegIMG_20200212_171338.jpegIMG_20200212_171412.jpegIMG_20200212_171127.jpeg

Seems like best to have both. Not liking the looks of those for mowing large lawns.
Reminds me of my AG tractor tires. Traction galore
