Was at Wallyworld today and saw 2 gals with masks on. Looked kind of stupid, ordinary particle masks that do nothing to protect anything except to contain you own bad breath... Must have been a fashion statement....lol

 . . . I have not been around the pubic lately. I was today at a doctor office in a town kind of close to me (22 miles). Saw 1 person with a mask on and it was one of the staff. :)

I didn't get that close. I'm very careful about walking through anyone's atomized exhaust....lol Always have been, why I don't do flu shots and never get sick.

Today, people in general have no respect for others anyway. It's the 'me too' attitude.

I interpret this scenario exactly the opposite.

The two gals may well have been aware no self protection was afforded by wearing a mask but they were actually being respectful of not spreading germs to others.

I frequent the hospital quite often, at least every 30 days, I'm a survivor of cancer so they watch me like a hawk and I have to have my 'port' flushed with anti coagulant every 30 days anyway. Everyone in the infusion lab wears a mask, I don't pay much attention

Was there twice in the last 2 weeks and no one (other than staff) was 'masked up'. My take on it is, if your level of cleanness is good enough, you don't need no mask.... and candidly, they do look stupid.

I have personally seen dead people.

Makes looking stupid a viable option.

Yep.

I would never ridicule someone for wearing a mask. As mentioned, they might be trying to protect me.

There are now three in the Houston area, 2 in Harris county and the one in FortBend county - all travelers, no deaths.

Got an e-mail from the Government today that medicare part B covers the test to see if you have Coronavirus:

"You've likely heard about the Coronavirus (officially called "2019-Novel Coronavirus" or "COVID-19") in the news. While there isn't a vaccine yet and the immediate health risk remains low, Medicare is still here to help.

Your Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) covers a test to see if you have Coronavirus. This test is covered when your doctor or a health care provider orders it, if you get the test on or after February 4, 2020. You usually pay nothing for Medicare-covered clinical diagnostic laboratory tests.

To prevent the spread of this illness or other illnesses, including the flu:

Wash your hands often with soap and water,
Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze,
Stay home when you're sick, and
See your doctor if you think you're ill.
Visit The Centers for Disease Control website for information on the Coronavirus."
