well if you have time..............you will have to go much slower and wait for the drum to spin back up, you will need the hi-flow w/out a doubt which will eat more HP and create more heat on the machine, are you getting NEW because of teh financing/interest rates and payments?
you will be waiting for teh drum to spin back up significantly on a 75hp machine period, look at the specs, even on hi flow you get less than 30gpm but on a 95hp machine you get 40, that is significant in oil flow when it comes to spinning the drum, not to mention a ton/2K more of weight to handle the roughness of teh drum out in front and undulating ground and up/down with the bucket to chew things up, you will have an easier time getting rid of a 95hp machine than a 75 around here, i looked at the kubota specs just for reference but i can assure you most any major manufacturer is going to run very similar the takeuchi will likely be the heaviest
I just hired a guy to remove a bunch of trees off a 2 acre area in a creek bottom around a field - he used a turbo max type blade to remove them and he had a brand new 95-2 kubota and traded his 90-2 in on it bcause he said he needed more power and that turbo saw doesnt use as much power/flow as the drum mulcher
its frustrating as heck trying to work when you are waiting on hydraulics and power - to me its maddening!!! i have been there done that with smaller skid steers just doing dirt/gravel work and hated every minute of it
are you wanting to clear the entire thing, just make trails or ? there is no way i would get a 75 and put it on a drum mulcher but thats just me
how much are the payments giong to be on something like that each month? might be better to use someone elses machine or pay someone to do it
