Hey Rut (or anyone with some expertise on this) how did you adjust the HST switch? Mine I think needs it but I'm unsure how to do it.
I plan to first lube the plunger a bit to see if it's sticking and if that doesn't work adjust it.

I had a problem where I had to rock the HST treadle in order to start as well the treadle started to stick. Greasing the zerks did not fix the problem, the switch and rod needed lubricating. I have a fairly dusty environment.

I have had problems with two successive HST safety switches on my 2016 Kubota B26. The first switch started getting stuck intermittently, and then developed a short which kept blowing the 5A OPC fuse. That faulty switch was replaced by the dealer under warranty, but the tractor was unavailable for three weeks while the service tech diagnosed the problem and obtained needed parts.
Two months later (after the 1 year warranty had expired), the replacement switch started getting stuck too. At first I took the steps suggested in this thread, which enabled the tractor to start. But later on, no amount of pedal rocking, or lubrication of the HST pedal zerks or the switch plunger, would enable the tractor to start. So, I verified that the problem was the HST pedal switch by making a jumper using two low-voltage spade fittings connected by 16 gauge wire and inserting the two spade fittings into the female slots on the electrical connector for that switch. The tractor starts with the jumper in place. So, I have a second faulty switch.
Hope this helps someone else figure out how to diagnose and resolve Kubota HST safety switch problems.

Sorry to dredge up this old thread. While snowblowing this morning in my B3000 the engine suddenly died. Tractor has only 275 hours and has always run great. The way it shut off felt instantly like a safety switch problem. I'm going to try jumping the seat switch but are there others? This has an HST of course.
When I tried turning the key the dash lights come on but there's no click. Thanks for any help!

Don’t know specifics of your tractor, but...
sometimes there’s a neutral switch, PTO switch and pedal position switches...but I think these should only prevent tractor from starting, not kill tractor if running.
Did you turn off PTO (and reset neutral if applicable) before trying to restart?

Yes, first thing I did was disengage the PTO and put it in neutral. No dice. Jumping the seat switches did not work. I am at a loss here. At least most of the snow blowing was done! Most of it anyway.

Did you check the operation of the fuel stop solenoid? Start there and ascertain if it is working properly, and work backwards. It is possible of course the fuel stop solenoid is defective in itself. It is time to pull the schematic and see how that puppy works. I can tell you all about how Kioti fuel stop solenoids work, and next to nothing about yours. The Kioti has two coils a pull coil and a hold coil. The pull coil is high current (about 20 amps) and the hold coil is about an amp to keep it pulled in. If it loses power the spring pressure closes and shuts off the fuel. I suspect the Kubota works similarly but it might not. Schematic time. Bite the bullet and buy the workshop manual. It isn't like you will never need it again. If you are going to work on the tractor you must be armed. If you are not going to work on it ever again just take it to the dealer.
