In Arbitration I would allow a lot of leeway during oral testimony... as long as it was respectful and not simply repeating.
My rational is this was each party's opportunity to make their case and I didn't want anyone to leave feeling they did not have the opportunity.
As my cases were not stacked... I did have the luxury timewise...
Plus it is provided a forum for getting it off your chest and the exchange of ideas.
