GC 2600

My glow plugs are activated when you turn the key between on and start, I was wondering if there was supposed to be a light.
The pto always makes the sound like I said it’s not very loud bu it’s definitely audible.

When I engage pto without implement attached I hear no noise for either mid or rear. Check the output shafts for something rubbing. Perhaps the end of a wire tie catching on the splines or something similar.

Thanks jaylegger. Does your pto make kind of a clicking sound or is it silent?

I know the question wasn't directed at me. The clicking sound from the PTO w/o an attachment is completely normal on the GC2300. Driveline is pretty well identical to the GC2600.

Hey Dan,

If you desire a glow plug indicator light, like most of us, it's a real easy and cheap addition to our GC tractors.

The link to a real good thread started by ray66v, "GC Owners Upgrades And Modifications" and in ray's post #1 is this tip and how to.

Since you indicated that you only had this tractor for about a week, you may not be aware but the storage area for the "Operator Instruction Book" is in a pocket on the back of the tractor seat...

I recently had a light come on that had no explanation provided in the owner's manual and the dealer had to call the factory to determine what it was. This light was located to the right hand side of the oil and battery lights and consisted of an icon of the crankcase with an arrow pointing to the right. It did not illuminate when the key was turned on before starting. I was told it was a plugged air filter warning and it did go out after I serviced the filter. This is on a 2010 GC2610TLB at about 1000 hours and I had been working it in very dusty conditions.
