I had a 1985 case 1494 cab model I bought new did the same thing, move the position control lever a tiny fraction and the 3pt arms would raise couple inches when they should of only raised a tiny bit, frustrated the H out of me. Tried everything like you including having the dealer try to fix, bad news nothing made it work like it should. Too bad cause other than that issue was a pretty good tractor but that irritated me to no end when trying to do fine 3pt work. Concluded was an engineered flaw in the design of the system, sold it and never looked back. I've owned many tractors over the yrs mostly fords and new Hollands which have always had 3pts that operated exactly as they should both the position and draft controls, I'm familiar with how they should function when properly designed from the factory. I sincerely hope there is a answer/fix for yours . Have you tried using another one of the same model at your dealers lot for comparison? Also I'm curious as to why RK Tractor Guy hasn't responded. B
