Im very worried that this 'early opening up' will be the downfall of everything in the end if it plays out like Singapore has. Thought they had it under control, went back to the before virus normal and wham, they are in a real epidemic now.

Think my wife and I will keep right on practicing all the safeguards we have been doing. I don't want it, don't believe anyone else does that has any sense.

I dont think this will happen, heres why:
Singapore is a lot like New York and North Jersey. People piled up like cordwood. In the beginning of reopening, NYC wont be one of the areas to reopen. They will be on the tail end. The front end will be places like Wyoming, where it is safer to try. Meanwhile, NYC & NNJ will continue to social distance and rat each other out for going outside. Feel sorry for them, but they are an arrogant bunch up there.
We will look at how Singapore failed and learn.

If you drink regular hand sanitizer, it will kill you (denatured alcohol), but Crown Royal makes excellent hand sanitizer and you can drink it too. 2 positive uses.:)

While you can pour it on your hands, it's only 40% alcohol. You need at least 60% alcohol to kill the current virus on your hands. Better to just drink it. :drink:

What exactly is 'flyover country' anyway? I've always wondered about that term. Like the word 'woke'. Haven't a clue what that is either.

You flyover in a plane and never set foot there and don't really care what or who is down there..............

Like when people fly from Toledo to Detroit.... they fly over Monroe County. ;)

Kinda spency. Cheap Wodka works better for both at less cost.

Well, you live in "flyover country". As far as the ruling elites are concerned, the only parts of the USA worth anything are the big cities on the coasts. Of course these cities are democrat run cities. So are all the big cities on the "left coast". everything in between is "flyover country" said with disdain as you fly over these worthless parcels of land with their basket of deplorables to get back to civilization on the coasts. The reason I don't put New Orleans in "flyover country" is because it is another big democrat run city and the mores and attitudes in that city are closer to the "coasts" than the "heartland". I live in flyover country too, and my world view is about as far from most of the citizens on the coasts as if we lived on different planets.

Now "woke". Woke means you have awakened to the importance to such concepts as "social justice" what ever the heck that is, "political correctness," Whatever the heck that is. and your sensitive to racism, misogyny, and "white privilege" Did you know as a white person you are "privileged"?... those of us that grew up so poor we barely had clothes to wear and had to grow our own food or starve, and had an outhouse outside of our tar paper "shack" didn't consider our selves privileged at the time, but I guess we were. Or so "woke" people say. Those same ruling elites that consider where we live "flyover country" are by definition also "woke". So now you know.. Don't you feel privileged?.

If anyone's following the Santa Clara County statistics re early cases:

This article says deaths are running about 20% above normal with half of the increase identified with Coronavirus and now the other half of the increase is suspected to be related too.

Also, more research into early deaths may show the epidemic began earlier than was thought.

Overall deaths in Santa Clara County were up 20% in March

And just so you know a city like Austin Texas, although in a "flyover" state is NOT considered Flyover country and for the same reasons as New Orleans. So Some big cities in "flyover country" are NOT actually in flyover country. At least to "woke" individuals. See? aren't you glad you asked about this?

Another study I just heard about on Fox, in New York said that 15% of all New Yorkers have had the plague. Again this is not confirmed and I have NO link... And won't have.
