It sure does get tiring listening to attempts at sophomoric humor at the expense of others... then claiming they aren't personal attacks while thinking they are being witty.

I like good natured jesting but differences of opinion should be respected and argued logically not with personal insults.

Why are the Corona threads especially bringing out 'not the best' of some of us? Maybe don't answer that.

I'm getting 403 way too often regardless of the thread I am on. Just advancing pages. Started happening a couple of days ago. Hit back, hit enter again, and it then works. What's going on?

What is a 403 Forbidden Error (and How Can I Fix It)?

I am getting paid for 3 days a week and working 4 or 5 to keep up. Today was unpaid, another day, another no dollar. Trouble is I am swamped but other parts of the company are hard hit so everyone is taking the same medicine.

I do get to work out of the house nearly every day now and finally got around to hacking back my beard growth. I got myself more or less clean shaven again. Cut at my hair in the mirror a bit but decided to just wear a cap when I go to the store.

Actually a week ago I was where you are today. Present public sentiment concerning this virus is the same thing as emotionalism. A week ago I decided my fear was based on Emotionalism and that is not acceptable to me at my age. The doctors and others are clueless and operating out of fear and ignorance but that is not going to be the case much longer. Don't wear a mask, do wear a mask, don't wear a mask commands makes it clear informed people are not in charge. The Navy mess has the Chinese laughing at us in the news media. We knew we were going to be dragged into WW2 but did we prepare for it? The China government knew about the virus 6 weeks or longer before they told us. Then we messed around another 6 weeks until the virus wiped out a nursing home.

About a week ago I realized that I was going to live until I die and that I was not going to stop living before I die. I have spent the last two months getting my head around this virus and what it means. I did not spend years earning my O.D. degree without getting a grasp of diseases, epidemiology and drugs and living the last 40 years with a cytokine storm going on in my body until being shown a better way to eat to help get out of the mess for the most part. When the educated healthcare people are all saying something different and often flip flopping from day to day the message is clear. We do not have a clue but we are trying to fake out the masses as if we had a clue.

We read there are 30 versions of this virus in circulation today. It has come out we were killing the sick with ventilators when something like a BPAP with oxygen would have been better perhaps. Now kidney failure and blood clots are on the radar as killers so perhaps it is evolving.

I am not for charging an iceberg head on with my ship but I am for sure not for cutting the engines off and set there for 3 months or 3 years until the flipping iceberg melts. Icebergs are part of life unless global warming melts them all.

Life has to continue. I have the two 22 year old kids and I want the USA to regain her standing as a country that takes care of ourselves that lowers the kids odds of being drafted to fight against those that want to be the number one world power.

I am now moving forward thinking about our two kids and not the old man. I have pushed them hard so I know they are good to go. If I go so be it but I do not want them to see that I died as an emotional basket case wring my hands in fear.
