IMO...The obvious key (to some of us) is testing...even while waiting for a vaccine there are others that are working on faster tests and monitoring that can be administered by employers and even the general public...

The Henny Penny purveyors predicting gloom and doom are so misguided they completely overlook the fact that we can and will be developing simpler, faster testing that will give people the confidence to return to a safe workplace...

Those wanting to rush everyone back to work and into public places simply can't fathom the fact that the biggest threat is a second wave...a much bigger threat than what a little more hardship will bring...

And taking the wrong action too soon can cause an even worse disaster than what we've already experienced...acting just for the sake of acting is as foolish as it gets...

We were at almost full employment.
Unemployment was at an all time low.
There were millions of unclaimed jobs.
Unemployment was dropping month to month for the last 5 years.

That doesn稚 sound like we were on the way to 20% unemployment

20% unemployment would create panic in the streets.

Just to be clear, the unemployment rate was dropping for the last 10 years; since 2009.

Coincides with a shrinking workforce once their unemployment benefits expired...also marks a date with an increasing number of people getting food stamps and other stuff like free cell phones and service etc...
