Picked up a new goose neck power tilt deck trailer last year and a new truck this spring. Had to Haul the tractor to the dealer to get the front cover resealed, so I finally got some picks.

Brought home 3 yards of 3/4 minus limestone this weekend for a stepping stone project and extra for the back driveway. Ended up settling a bit from the original loading and was more than 15% tongue weight. Not too dramatic. But it wasn't far home from the gravel pit. Project turned out well though and the wife was happy.

I have a 2520 JD with loader. I drive the tractor up the trailer ramps and use the loader to scoop most of the material out. By the time I'm done that way I only have a partial bucket to shovel out manually. That method works well for gravel, dirt, etc.

Only needed a bucket and a half for the steppers. The rest was off-loaded for another upcoming patio paver project and the back driveway.

I hate half tons. I don稚 even like towing my lawnmower with one. In its defense the lawnmower and trailer is about 4K. My 2500 is a much more secure ride over the 1500 when towing. I can稚 say that l like unloading stone by hand either.

I stand in the bed and use a backpack leaf blower to unload it. It takes a while, but I still have energy to do more things afterward, since I didn't just shovel 4,000 pounds of stone!

I just pull the T handle lever in the cab.

I have done that also. I hate the small stone getting stuck in the spaces between the deck boards, though. Net time I might put down an old tarp before loading, dirt. Jon

I've had my single axle dump for over a year now. 4800 miles on her, and its absolutely perfect. Fits my italian two wheel tractor, garden tractor, and even a rental toro dingo. I use it as a pick up truck replacement, and so far I am pleased. A 5x10 would be nice in a few years, but I cant complain, I have only needed to make two trip twice since I have owned it
