That's smart. I have pallet forks and already converted my factory bucket when I added the SSQA front assembly. The $2000+ for a lightweight grapple is a hard pill to swallow. I may have to take a hard look at that thumb.

Yes, the cost for an EA is high. I would like one but it’s hard to overlook MTL for half that...but the weight is 120# more than EAs.....as we know with these machines weight is essential. That and the portability of the thumb won me over.

I have the older DL95. Same thing, I just ordered through my dealer who obviously knows I have a GC1710/DL95 and the kit was all sized to install out of the box. I also used a 4pin trailer plug and cut 2 of the 4 wires off flush to be able to remove my FEL. I'll probably switch the plug to a 2 lead weatherproof plug down the line as I get my machine dirty and power wash it... Water is the enemy of electronics so I want something more resistant to the moisture

Yes, I assume when they get the FEL dimensions for a specific model tractor/model FEL, it's design ready for additional customers with the same tractor/FEL.

And I also use a flat 4 wire trailer plug for installing/removal of my MF snowblower for keeping the electric chute/deflector switches always mounted in the cab.

When I remove the snowblower, I have an additional 4 wire trailer plug with the wires cut and taped next to the plug that I plug into the one in the cab to keep the 4 pins clean during the summer.

Little bit of driveway rehab and a shed pad for a customer.

You bet! A thumb for the BH is definitely one of the best additions you can have, IMO. Amazing what you will now be able to lift & move.

Please share pictures on the thumb when installed and let us know how it goes.

Off the the dealer for hoses and real bolts!

What size grapple did you end up ordering?

I'm following this extremely closely as I am strongly considering adding this and 2 mounts to my loader and pallet forks.

All plumbed, bolted down and functioning!

It’s a 24”

The forks and debris forks will be a while, have to buy the bases and have some welding done for the plate, to mount the bases to.
