Anyone else think this is BS on Kioti's part

I've always thought that you need to put a deposit down to hold the deal, including any financing rates. Maybe I've been screwed before, but it does make sense. I can't go to a vendor and expect the same pricing, even a month later. Nor do I do that in my business. Quotes are good for 30 days.

I used Agdirect - variable rate of 2.49%. Rates are low right now. I have the option to lock in if they start going up once. That way I was able to take the cash discount...

If I were you I would tell him if he doesn't adjust to the agreed upon deal you are walking.

I think dealers can get some kickback if they get you to sign at a higher rate.

I bought my wife a new Mazda 3 in 2004. (worst POS we ever owned) The dealer and I had gone back and forth on pricing and were $500 apart on our trade when they gave in and decided to deal with me. Mazda had 2.9% advertised on their web site. When they presented the deal for me to sign they had 3.9% on it. When I asked how that affected the loan over the total pay back it came out to the $500 I said I wouldn't pay. The salesman said the higher rate was based on my credit rating. HA! My credit rating was 820. I told him if we didn't qualify for the advertised rate nobody would and I slid the unsigned paper work back at him. He got on the phone to the manager and immediately adjusted the rate. From now on if I think someone is trying to pull one on me I just go ahead and walk.
When I see crap on the paperwork, I will circle it and tell them to call me when it's fixed. I won't wait at the dealership all day while they play games.

They are all like this, if you read somewhere on the website you'll find words to this effect......for more up to date information contact your dealer.
All manufacturers with dealerships have this disclaimer.

Yes I know I tried that, they are not licensed for PA or that is exactly what I would have done. They said they are working on getting approval for PA but are still a bit away from it.

This was a matter of 4 days and Kioti still had the published rate of 4.3% 2 days after I tried to finalize the deal. Then they tried to say it was because of a cache file on my computer which is nonsense because the dates updated for the program expiration. The dealer has been excellent and is even try to get Kioti to honor the rate. I am more than happy with the customer service of the dealer but I think the right thing to do is honor their published rate.

If he wanted last months rates he should have signed last month.

I just wanted the rate that showed it was good until June 30th on Kioti's website.

If your dealer cuts the price by about $750, he still gets the sale, and you pay the same total price - even with the higher interest rate.

I'm afraid if I were the dealer and/or Kioti I'd be questioning whether I wanted to do this deal or not.

Walk from a $45000 sale because I feel the rate they advertised should be honored? The dealer has been fantastic by the way and agrees with me.

All the fantastic dealer has to do is drop the price by $750 and you're both good. OR, meet in the middle at $375, and you pay a whopping $6/month more and start using the tractor tomorrow.

As to the dealer agreeing with you...think on this...he is trying to sell you the tractor, he wants you to have faith in him and him look good. In agreeing with you it makes him look good in your eyes. My last tractor purchase I have some small issues with the tractor and the dealer I noticed was agreeing with me over and over and I began to wonder...is that his true feeling or trying to just please with and be able to so to speak "wash his hands of the problem" and look good at the same time. If you will look at several threads here with a warranty issue or such you will see the OP says something along this, My dealers agrees with me.

I agree many, most if not all web sites have a disclaimer on them on as has been pointed out.
I have no idea the rates on 84 months anywhere but for 60 months my bank would have been 3% when Kubota was 0%. At the time Yanmar also offered 0 for 60 months or a $5,000 discount.
Find out who does agricultural loans in your area and if you qualify they will have low rates.
There have been some very good suggestions.

You've NEVER told us if the disclaimer "for more up to date information contact the dealer" was posted on their website as it is in all websites of anything for sale through a dealership that I've ever seen. If it is you have no legal legs to stand on, if it isn't then you may have legal recourse or as others have wisely said go with another brand.
